Kate Moross broadcasts on music

Kate Moross turned up on BBC Radio 6 Music over the Christmas period. Originally recorded earlier in the year for Mary Anne Hobbs’ ‘Art is Everywhere’ project, the interview was repeated on 27 December when Mary Anne was doing the breakfast slot. Kate was introduced by a track from Simian Mobile Disco, whose record sleeves and videos she’s worked on, and went on to discuss the ways music and art interconnect and her own relationship with music and design. She talks about how she set up her own record label while still at university, and the insights that gave her into music production, and musicians themselves, that lay outside the usual experience of a designer. Her piece is followed by a track from Disclosure, who Kate has also worked with.
