Danny Sangra – Donald Duck returns
The return of Donald (not that one)
10 years ago, Uniqlo launched their Magic for All Collection, a collaboration with the Walt Disney Company with images of Disney characters created by artists featured on items of their clothing.
One of the artists chosen was Danny Sangra, and now to celebrate the 10th anniversary, his take on Donald Duck is being reissued on a Uniqlo t-shirt.
Danny calls it ‘Disney’s Donald Duck Through a Painterly Lens’ and describes his approach to capturing the character as ‘something more painterly than graphic, a softer, more expressive approach’.
