Rick shot the images in this weekend’s FT Magazine design special, for an article where Tom Faber spends a month replacing his smartphone with single-purpose technology like a camera, a digital notepad and a vinyl player. The purpose is to see whether this helps him untether himself from the constant distraction of his phone. For the piece, Rick photographed the Habity alarm clock, Teenage Engineering’s TP-7 field recorder, the reMarkable Paper Pro digital notebook the prototype PP-2 turntable from Waiting For Ideas, and Sigma’s BF digital camera.
