Design Week Award for Versus Arthritis

Some time ago, James Joyce did some work creating illustrations for Versus Arthritis, a charity that aims to raise awareness of the condition and the discomfort and problems it causes for people of all ages.

The work was part of a rebrand for the charity, commissioned via branding agency Re. To James’ surprise, and a couple of years down the line, he’s just found out that it’s won a Design Week Award for best illustration on a rebrand.

James’ images have since appeared on the charity’s internal Communications and brochures for the NHS, as well as on digital platforms and as animations.

The judges had this to say about James’ work on the project:
“This project is not only beautiful in concept and execution, but the illustration suite is really effective in communicating the condition, as opposed to simply showing something figurative.”

Congratulations to James and all who worked on the rebrand.
