She’s not there
Natasha has been trying something slightly different, which you can see in this new piece. She’s embarking on a series of what she sees as painted ‘collages’, where she’s focused on painting just what might first be perceived as abstract shapes, but actually derive from her leaving the body in the painting as purely negative space. Look longer and more closely and the full form of what the painting contains reveals itself, in more ways than one.
