Steven Wilson’ Korean auction of his work with Seoul auction house K-Auction took place last week, and was a huge success.
This was the first time an overseas artist had had a solo show at K-Auction, so was something of a landmark. The event itself was sponsored by Maserati, Mini Gold Jewellery, Hendrick’s Gin and Pepsi, who Steven has also been working with in South Korea.
The private view was quite some event, with a fashion show involving models wearing outfits featuring Steven’s designs, a concert by some of Korea’s best-known performers including K-pop star Sooyoung. Steven also took part of a Q&A onstage.
All the money raised from the auction will go to charity.
Steven has a lot going on in Korea at present, including solo exhibitions at Gallery Jeon in Daegu and Gallery Son and Gallery Insa Art in Seoul.
