To celebrate Pride, Craig & Karl have added their signature style to the entrance at The London EDITION Hotel in Fitzrovia. The entrance is a glass cube that Craig & Karl have transformed in rainbow colours inspired by the Pride flag, complete with pink triangles, that throws multi-hued light across the hotel lobby.
As Craig & Karl themselves say: “Our aim is for this to be vibrant and inviting. When the sun streams through the lobby, it creates a fantastic effect, and is a bright, fun way to welcome in everyone.”
Under the auspices of renowned hotelier Ian Schrager, The London EDITION contrasts classic design with striking new pieces, like Ingo Maurer’s polished stainless steel orb that hangs over the lobby. A reproduction of one of Louis XV’s Gobeline tapestries behind the front desk contrasts with Korean artist Chul Hyun Ahn’s ‘Portal, a glowing purple circle that lights up the corridor.
