Celebrating 10 years of Our Time
Unbelievably, it’s now a full decade since Catherine’s book Our Time No. 1 was published. Its 252 pages featured Catherine’s portraits of creative people from the worlds of fashion, art, design, music and film, each shown somewhere important to them. Among them were Sir Peter Blake, Gavin Turk, Sir Paul Smith, and Bella Freud. 1,000 copies of the book were printed.
Now, ten years on, Our Time is not just a moment in the life of each of these people captured forever, but a beautifully rendered document of that time, as it moves further into history.
Not that Our Time stopped at a fixed point in 2014, because since 2021 Catherine has been working on Our Time No. 2, her ongoing series of online portraits. They include artist Bobbye Fermie, curator Jodie Harrison, interior designer Fran Hickman, actor Remmie Milner, wood carver Mark Reddy, editor and journalist Michelle Jana Chan, Bunny and Emma of interior designers Turner Pocock, and the family at Cotswolds venue Thyme among others.
