Man on the moon

You may have noticed from the recent cinema film, numerous TV documentaries and articles that we’ve just hit the 50th anniversary of humankind’s first steps on the moon. As a self-confessed super NASA and moon nerd, Matt was thrilled to be commissioned by New Yorker magazine to provide illustrations celebrating that anniversary for their next issue.

As you can see he chronicles both iconic moments from the landing itself and the experience of those watching with bated breath back on Earth. Matt describes his illustrations as ‘space fillers’ in the issue – “I kind of love that I’ve filled space with space”.
