Figures of fungi 

Neal Murren has created the cover for a book called ‘Mushrooms and Toadstools’ that may not be entirely real, by the authors Michij and Iubv Now, who may not exist.

Not that the mushrooms and toadstools it illustrates are ones you’re likely to find in your local woods. Fungi may be alive but not like these examples – these are characters and creatures, royals and braces-clad workers, male and female, birds and lizards and even an apparent rosy stool-toad.

Not available in good bookshops or on amazon, just in Neal’s ever-astonishing imagination. Enjoy.
