New short film for Make Hauser & Wirth
Catherine has made a short film, plus photography, for Ursula, the art magazine of Hauser & Wirth, the art gallery with sites all over the world. The film, the first in a new series, takes you inside the Hackney studio of ceramicist Akiko Hirai. Originally from Japan, Akiko makes decorative artworks and tableware using Japanese pottery techniques, allowing the properties of the clay to suggest how it should be fired. Her works are included in the exhibition ‘Within.Without’, now showing at Make Hauser & Wirth in Zurich until 23 December.
