Our favourite podcasts

Once upon a time we used to have spaces in the day, perhaps when travelling to work, going for a run, sitting in bed, when we might spend some time reading a book, listening to music, or vacantly gazing into space, thinking about nothing in particular. Not any longer, nowadays many of us are filling that time with podcasts.

But there are so many podcasts out there, how do you decide what to listen to? We often go by recommendations from friends and colleagues. So, we thought each month we’d ask one of our friends and colleagues at Breed about which podcasts they’d recommend.

This month: Andy Gilmore

How do you discover new podcasts?

The few podcasts that I do listen to I have discovered through online media of sorts.

Do you have favourite subjects that you seek out?

Music, News, Skateboarding, Art and Design.

When do you listen to them?

Only when I am working.

Which three podcasts would you recommend?

  1. What’s Good with Stretch & Bobbito

Bobbito Garcia and co-host-with-a-name-that-he-may-not-have-been-born-with Stretch Armstrong, who are both also DJs, discuss art, politics, music, sports and more with cultural influencers like The Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu.

  1. WTF – the podcast of Marc Maron

Comedian Marc Maron has been running his WTF podcast for almost 10 years, and has become one of the most successful podcasts out there, attracting guests of the calibre of President Obama, Keith Richards, Robin Williams, and engaging them in often revealing conversation.

  1. The Nine Club

A skateboarding podcast hosted by Chris Roberts, this is one for you if names like Eric Dressen, Johnny Schillereff and Rob Gonzalez excite you, you rarely leave home without Thrasher stuck in your back pocket, and often wonder whether Vans or DC shoes are the ones for you.
