For our fifth Breed presents… The Podcast we talked to writer and journalist Clover Stroud.

Our podcast is built around finding out more about people who have built their own unique space within the world of creativity.  Clover Stroud’s writing certainly does that, and it was a genuine thrill to get a chance to discuss it with her.

So far, she’s had three books published, The Wild Other, which was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize, My Wild and Sleepless Nights: A Mother’s Story and The Red of My Blood: A Death and Life Story. Next year her fourth, The Giant on the Skyline: On Home, Belonging and Learning To Let Go, will be published.

As you’ll find out, she writes about subjects drawn directly from her own experience, always with total honesty, and seeking out hope in even the most traumatic of circumstances.

Clover spoke to us from her current home in Washington DC, having been based in Oxfordshire until recently.

You can listen wherever you get your podcasts, but we’ve included a link to Spotify here.
