Giving a hand to a more diverse industry
Danny Sangra has designed a set of assets for a new initiative by the Design Museum. Ardagh Young Creatives aims to provide a route into the design industry for those from less privileged backgrounds and help to make the industry more diverse and inclusive.
The programme aims to offer young people aged 14-16 the opportunity and confidence to develop design skills in both 2D and 3D, taking in mentoring as well as offering access to the Design Museum’s own collections and wider network. It will end with a live project and graduation. It’s hoped the programme will expand beyond London in the future and help kickstart a design industry that better reflects society as a whole.
