Annie Atkins – At the Design Museum on 24 March

Annie in conversation at the Design Museum

We’ve previously mentioned the Wes Anderson: The Archives exhibition which is now on at the Design Museum in London. It looks at Anderson’s films, from early experiments to works-in-progress, and has been put together with full access to Anderson’s personal archives.

Annie Atkins has collaborated with Anderson on a few of his films, namely The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs and The French Dispatch, creating many of the props populating the background, like posters, signs, and other objects that create Wes Anderson’s world. And her work is featured in the exhibition.

As part of the exhibition, Annie will be taking part in an event at the museum on 24 March – In Conversation: The Graphic Language of Wes Anderson’s Films. Hosted by Chief Curator Johanna Agerman Ross, Annie and graphic design director Erica Dorn will be discussing the role of graphic design and props in filmmaking, especially regarding Wes Anderson films. Erica has led the graphics department on five Wes Anderson productions so far, after starting to work in film supporting Annie on Isle of Dogs.

The event starts at 7pm and tickets are available here
