Danny Sangra in the Financial Times

Danny was interviewed for the FT’s Art of Fashion supplement over the weekend. Flora Macdonald Johnston spoke to three artists, including Danny, who have led the charge of the re-emergence of illustration into the front line of fashion. Danny talks about his collaboration with Burberry, and expresses his surprise that they made no attempt to water down his ideas. He says he expected the project to involve a couple of illustrations that would be posted on social media, but which has since gone on to include a Snapchat takeover, a world tour, and an augmented reality experience, for which he had to have his own phone updated so he could see it for himself.
