James provides the illustrations for an article by writer and journalist Markham Heid in the latest issue of FT Magazine. The article, ‘The life-ruining power of routines’, looks at the drawbacks of routine, especially in the life of a freelancer working from home, and how to combat them. James’s illustrations show the transition from the dullness of the same thing every day to more colourful possibilities opening up.
