In the Jealous Needs You 2018 Portfolio
The Jealous Needs You Portfolio is a showcase for both established and emerging artists. It was set up by Jealous, a screenprint studio based in East London. They run educational programmes with primary schools, workshops and exhibitions. They also create high quality limited edition prints with artists known and unknown.
This year, James Joyce has won a place as one of the 30 artists making up the Jealous Needs You 2018 Portfolio. This is the 6th year of the portfolio, and celebrates the 10th anniversary of Jealous Gallery and Print Studio.
The process of getting to be part of the Jealous Needs You Portfolio is not an easy one to get through, and open to international artists at various stages of their career and of all sorts of styles. The selection is made by the Jealous team, along with Paul Foster of Saatchi Gallery. Those selected then have their work shown at the Jealous Galleries before going on to the Saatchi Gallery in the King’s Road.
The winning images are turned into colour screenprints at the Jealous Print Studio and will be available in limited editions of 36, being sold for £125 each.
