Annie Atkins – Letters from the North Pole selling fast
Annie has spent a lot of time recently out on the road promoting her new children’s book Letters from the North Pole, taking in the UK, the US and Canada, as well as appearing online.
The book has taken on a life of its own, with publisher Magic Cat already on their third printing, and expecting to sell more copies in English language territories during the run-up to Christmas.
The book tells the story of five children whose Christmasletters to Santa get surprising replies. It’s something of an interactive book, in a non-digital sense, in that the five letters can be pulled out to read, and there are blueprints for the gifts received by the children, everything beautifully crafted by illustrator Fia Tobing.
Annie has turned up all over the place, on BBC London radio and RTE Radio One, as well as the Debbie Millman podcast. She was also interviewed by The Times, who named it as one of the 21 best children’s books of the year, as well as Publisher’s Weekly, Creative Review and PRINT magazine.
