Neal Murren’s latest piece of personal work seems to be something of a prequel to his recent piece ‘Fun Day Out’. As you may remember, that featured what appeared to show a rebellion of circus folk and their animals, all drafted in the style of an old circus poster.
Rendered in blue pencil and watercolour, this new piece, called ‘Taking their young’, sees many of the same characters chasing down young animals in a fantasy woodland scene. Again, the detail is extraordinary, and there’s always something new to spot no longer how long you look.
