A new exhibition of Natasha Law’s work opens at Eleven gallery on 1 July and runs through to 28 September 2019. Called ‘Deliberations’ it features large-scale works created with gloss paint applied to sheets of aluminium and paper. The works show female figures dressing or undressing while looking away from the viewer, their faces obscured or out of frame. Natasha sketches models in the first stages of her creative process, before projecting their images onto her chosen surface. She then builds up payers of gloss paint to create the final image, sanding each layer before adding a new one. The whole process can take weeks.
