Catherine Garcia – New short film for Make Hauser & Wirth
A new film on artist Katie Spragg
Catherine has made a new short film for Make Hauser & Wirth, the gallery with various sites dedicated to showcasing craftspeople and the objects they make. This film focuses on Katie Spragg, an artist working in ceramics, who is inspired by the inter-relationships between people and plants. Over the last year Katie has been involved in a multi-site residency, moving between Braemar in Scotland to Hauser & Wirth Menorca and finally Hauser & Wirth Somerset. The film sees Katie talk about her creative process, and how that has been influenced by the change in locations of the past year. Katie’s exhibition ‘Natural Practice’ is on at Make, Hauser & Wirth Somerset until 28 January 2024.
