Andy Gilmore – NYE piece at Sphere Las Vegas

There was recently a lot of publicity about Sphere in Las Vegas, a music and entertainment venue in the shape of a vast globe, with immersive video and audio facilities on the inside and the exterior featuring 580,000 square feet of LED displays allowing incredible wraparound moving imagery to be displayed. At the time, the big news was that U2 were to be the resident band for 40 shows. Now, the even bigger news is that Andy was commissioned to create a unique animated piece, called Dawn, Noon, and Night, for Sphere’s exterior to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The commission came through creative media agency H+, while the animation was handled by a Silent Partners Studio – under Andy’s direction.
