Mary Beard, with John Guida, recently contributed an opinion piece to The New York Times where she looks at the grand arches, gladiatorial contests and egotism of Trump and can’t help but be reminded of Ancient Rome. Clay’s accompanying illustration literally reflects on this comparison, using a certain recently notorious Washington DC pool to do so.
