Lone voice
Rick took this shot of British writer Olivia Laing for an article about them in French weekly cultural magazine Télérama. The piece celebrates the first publication in French of Olivia’s non-fiction work Lonely City. Originally published ten years ago, Lonely City looks at the time Olivia spent living alone in New York, the stigma with which solitude is often associated and how it can be a catalyst for creativity.
