Annie Atkins – design for Penguin Essentials

Annie has designed the cover for the new Penguin Essentials edition of the late Melissa Bank’s novel The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing. Originally published in 1999, the bestselling book is a series of interconnected short stories, looking at the life and loves of a young woman as she grows up. For this new edition, Annie has created a look based on the embroidered badges a Girl Guide might win, with the help of art direction by Saffron Stocker.
