One of the big musical events of any year is the BBC Proms, an eight-week series of orchestral concerts usually centred on the Royal Albert Hall. And this year, we’re very pleased to announce that Steven Wilson worked with the BBC design team to create the official BBC Proms 2020 Festival Guide.
Steven’s design also forms the background to the BBC site where you can see a copy of Steven’s guide, along with an explanation of why it won’t be published, due to the Covid crisis.
The BBC Proms 2020 were set to run between 17 July and 12 September 2020, and are, though in a very different format to usual, being broadcast on TV, radio and online, without an audience. As you may have seen in the press, some limited special live performances may take place in the final days of the season, ending in the Last Night of the Proms, complete with instrumental only Land of Hope and Glory, on 12 September.
