Catherine Garcia – David Shrigley and Sunspel
Catherine has taken photos and shot film of Shrigley for a new collaboration between artist David Shrigley OBE and Sunspel released this month.
Shrigley was invited to mark the 75th anniversary of Sunspel’s move into their Long Eaton factory by reworking one of their archive logos in his own style. He chose the one you see here in Cat’s images, which dates back to the 1930s.
The design is available in a new summer capsule collection, including men and women’s sweatshirts, T-shirts and boxer shorts, all in black and white, reflecting Shrigley’s own preference for black-and-white drawings.
