Turning Television Centre from black and white to colour
Craig & Karl have got involved with the marketing for Television Centre, formerly the BBC Television Centre at White City.
You may remember that a year or so back, Craig & Karl’s HERE AFTER project transformed an old petrol station into a vibrantly colourful local landmark. The petrol station was right next door to Television Centre and caught the eye of the people at dn&co. the agency working on all the marketing for Television Centre. Up to that point their material had been in stark black and white, but as the site neared completion and was ready to open to the public they decided it should become more colourful, and who better for that task than Craig & Karl.
Their job was to provide material for a free Live at Television Centre festival, including food and music and events, that takes place over the weekend of 12-14 April. They’ve produced the design for a poster and a sales pavilion, and their imagery will also be appearing in press ads, flyers and a hoarding which will be put in place in the coming days.
You can see much of what they’ve designed here, but also, if you’re in London, look out in Time Out, The Standard and Metro, go along to the site to their work in situ, or see it at the top of the page at televisioncentre.com
