Game over

Anna Bu Kliewer’s ping pong bat was one of those shown at the Art of Ping Pong exhibition event that took place at the launch of The Hoxton, Southwark last Friday. The night also saw collage workshops and ping pong tournaments. Anna’s bat is among those now being auctioned online over the next month for charity. You can see all the bats being auctioned, including Anna’s, and make a bid at here.

The Art of Ping Pong is an organisation that loves ping pong, expressing it through products, events and collaborations with the likes of Nike, Ted Baker and Estrella Damm. Every so often they also ask artists to create an artwork on a ping pong bat, which will then be auctioned for a good cause. James Joyce, Matt Blease and Studio Moross have created bats for them in the past.

This year was in collaboration with Collage Club London, a workshop that encourages people to enjoy the art of working in collage. The money raised will go to local charities in Southwark, including Urban Growth, which creates and maintains green spaces in the area.
