A turn up for the books
James is responsible for a series of illustrations published in the Wall Street Journal this week. They’re featured in the Books section, illustrating ‘Holiday Books: Our 2023 Guide to the Best Gifts’. You might not immediately recognise them as James’ work, as the brief was to make each of the section headers resemble an ad you might find in a 1950s toy catalogue. And we think he’s done an excellent job of adapting his signature style.
